Launches, price hikes fuel pharma growth

While overall revenue grew 7.5% in Feb, top firms like Torrent, Lifesciences, Sun, Zydus saw double-digit growth
India's drugmakers in February saw healthy revenue growth across all therapies as they debuted new drugs and raised prices, according to an industry report.
Sales in the domestic pharmaceutical market during the month touched 18,781 crore, up 7.5% from a year earlier, data from B2B commerce platform Pharmarack showed.
Overall, the moving annual total (MAT) value growth until February was at 8.1%, with the sector clocking sales of ₹2.24 trillion. MAT refers to the total value of sales over the previous 12 months.
