PSLV-C60 mission: 10 NGES payloads successfully deployed

The POEM-4 mission carried a total of 24 experiments, including 14 by ISRO and 10 by NGEs

AHMEDABAD: The Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) announced the successful operationalisation of 10 hosted payloads from Non-Government Entities (NGEs) aboard the POEM-4 module of the PSLV-C60/SPADEX mission. Launched by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), the mission demonstrates India's growing capability to promote private sector participation in space research and technology development.

The PSLV-C60 mission repurposed its spent fourth stage, known as the PSLV Orbital Experiment Module (POEM-4), to conduct in-orbit experiments at an altitude of 350 kilometres with a 55-degree inclination. The innovative POEM platform, equipped with power supply, telemetry, and command support, enables cost-effective and efficient operations for diverse scientific and technological experiments.
