Excise policy case: ED gets MHA sanction to prosecute Kejriwal, Sisodia

The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has sanctioned the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to prosecute former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his former deputy Manish Sisodia under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in connection with alleged irregularities in Delhi's excise policy.
Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena had recommended this decision while urging prosecution clearance. The Centre has approved at a time when Kejriwal and Sisodia are facing court cases and investigations.
