The stage is set for two crucial Assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, as the final leg of campaigning drew to a close on Monday.

While the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance aims to retain power in Maharashtra, the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) seeks a strong comeback. In Jharkhand, the JMM-led INDIA bloc faces a tough fight against the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
Polling for all 288 Assembly seats in Maharashtra will take place on November 20, with results to be declared on November 23. The election saw high-voltage campaigns by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
