'Constitution' guiding light, spirit of nation first will keep it alive for centuries

Prime Minister Narendra Modi described the Indian Constitution as a "guiding light" on Tuesday during an event at the Supreme Court to mark Constitution Day.

Highlighting the document's role in steering India through times of transformation, Modi asserted that his government has upheld constitutional values by implementing welfare measures to promote social and financial equality.
"Our Constitution makers knew that India's aspirations and dreams would evolve with time. That is why they crafted the Constitution not as a static document but as a living, continuously flowing stream," the Prime Minister said.
