Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva has sharply criticised the Delhi government for its failure to control pollution, which he claims has placed residents at heightened risk of both waterborne diseases and mosquito-borne illnesses such as chikungunya, dengue, and malaria.

Sachdeva highlighted alarming air quality levels in the Capital, with PM 2.5 levels surpassing 400 and PM 10 levels crossing 1000, turning Delhi into what he described as a "gas chamber." He also referenced a disturbing report on the Okhla landfill, which found cancer-causing particles in the air in areas around the city's landfills, intensifying the toxic atmosphere.
