Treñas wants to stop Discaya flood control projects in Iloilo City

Neophyte Mayor Raisa Trefias of this city wants to stop all flood control projects undertaken by the companies of the controversial Discaya family.
“Since na revoke, pa untaton ta man ila tanan diri nga ongoing projects (Since it was revoked, we will stop all their ongoing projects here),” said Trefias on Thursday, Sept. 4, after inspecting another set of flood control projects.
The mayor was referring to the revocation of licenses by the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB) on all nine companies owned by the Discaya family.
