GlobalPort is bracing for a tough mountain climb when it makes history as the first team from the Philippines to make it to the US Open Polo Championship on Wednesday, March 26.

- REYNALD MAGALLON

Led by Mikee Romero, GlobalPort is looking to overcome the odds as it is set to face a tough Bracket II that features two former US Polo Championship titlists.

GlobalPort is hoping to turn heads in the $100,000 tournament when it makes its debut against the fancied La Dolfina Tamera.

La Dolfina Tamera is being led by world No. 1 player Adolfo Cambiaso Jr along with teammates Alejandro Poma, Diego Cavanag and Matt Copola and is coming off a title run in the C.V Whitney Cup title last month.
