The second most wanted person in Sulu was killed in a joint law enforcement operation by the Philippine Army (PA), Philippine National Police (PNP), and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Saturday, Aug. 16, in Barangay Kapok Punggol in Maimbung town.
Troops received intelligence information on the whereabouts of the suspect, Alganer Dahim, alias Wangbu, who was allegedly involved in multiple crimes, prompting them to immediately coordinate with the PNP and PDEA to launch the operation.
However, the suspect fired and detonated a grenade at troops who were about to arrest him. They returned fire and killed Dahim.
