The Palace cited the P100-mil-lion R.M. Tan Solar Pump Irrigation Project (SPIP) in Barangay R.M. Tan, Ormoc City which Marcos visited on Monday, Aug. 18.

During his inspection, Marcos said he was impressed to see how the facility works.

“We just came from a Tzu Chi village where we installed an irrigation pumping station that is solar-pow-ered and covers 100 hectares.

So, this is what we are doing-we have built over a hundred of those around the country already," he said.
