Celebrities sometimes lead viewers to believe they are who they play in teleseryes or movies.
Hence, many expect the good guys they see on TV and the big screen as kind, upright even when cameras are turned off. In the same way, villains, even if they are good-hearted in real life, are often thought to be vile by fans.
Nonetheless, many artists have transcended the dichotomy. Fans are often shocked when they meet popular onscreen villains and realize they are not the bad persons they portray. Expectations are high with protagonists. Many expect them to be nice in person.
When Young Versatile actress (YV) was discovered, her management was quick to assign her goody-girl roles given her amiable looks and talent.
As time passed, YV gained popularity and despite having a few incidents of her seemingly being disobedient, she was forgiven by fans and accepted again.
