Mayor Joy leads rites for MLQ's birth anniversary

Mayor Joy Belmonte on Tuesday, August 19, led the rites, including a wreath-laying at the Quezon Memorial Shrine to mark the 147th birth anniversary of former President Manuel L. Quezon, after whom Quezon City was named.
Belmonte recalled Quezon's words delivered at the Zamboanga Normal School, underscoring his call for honesty, justice, and moral courage.
"Ang kanyang mga salita ay paalala ng walang kapantay na tiwala ni Pangulong Quezon sa taumbayan (His words are a reminder of President Quezon's unparalleled trust in the people)," Belmonte said.
