DOST-SEI congratulates qualifiers for the 2025 Junior Level Science Scholarships

The Department of Science and Technology — Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) proudly announces 958 third-year college students as new qualifiers for the 2025 Junior Level Science Scholarships (JLSS).

Among the qualifiers, 376 earned slots under the RA 7687 Scholarship Program, which supports talented students from underprivileged families; 404 qualified under the Merit Scholarship Program, which recognizes students with outstanding academic performance in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM); and 178 qualified under the RA 10612, also known as the “Fast-Tracked S&T Scholarship Act of 2013,” which aims to produce STEM graduates who will later teach science and mathematics in secondary schools nationwide.
The newly named scholars were selected from among 14,609 applicants who took the JLSS qualifying examination on July 27 and August 10, 2025, conducted in 104 testing centers across the country.
Additionally, 42 potential qualifiers must resubmit pertinent documents for further evaluation before final confirmation of their eligibility.
