DOJ summons Atong Ang, others over case of missing 'sabungeros'

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has started issuing subpoenas against businessman Charlie “Atong” Ang and other persons named as respondents in the criminal charges involving the missing “sabungeros” (cockfight enthusiasts).
DOJ Prosecutor General Richard Anthony D. Fadullon said the preliminary investigation will probably start on Sept. 18 to determine if charges will be filed in court.
DOJ Assistant Secretary Jose Dominic F. Clavano IV, in an interview on PTV’s Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon on Wednesday, Sept. 10, said: “We started serving subpoenas yesterday and we continue to serve subpoenas today.”
