ASEAN Business Advisory Council-Philippines (ASEAN BAC PH) chair Joey Concepcion recently led the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Women's Business Council Philippines (WomenbizPH) to push for women economic empowerment through initiatives that encourage innovation and financial inclusion in ASEAN.

The MOU is part of preparations for the Philippines's chairmanship of the ASEAN in 2026, and emphasizes the strong focus on the women agenda for the regional event.
“ASEAN 2026 is poised to be the most significant event the Philippines will host. The success of this milestone hinges on strong collaboration among stakeholders,” said Concepcion, who, along with WomenbizPH chairperson Rosemarie Rafael, signed the MOU on behalf of their respective organizations.
