Mindful home rises in Ortigas, bringing balance, comfort, and Zen within reach
Life in the metro comes with constant pressure, traffic, deadlines, and daily noise that wear you down. In Pasig City, The Grand Midori Ortigas offers a place to pause and reset, as Federal Land inaugurates the first tower of this development designed to support comfort, well-being, and mindful living.
The ceremony was led by Federal Land Chairman Alfred Ty, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, Pasig City Representative Congressman Roman Romulo, Federal Land Vice Chairman Thomas Mirasol, Metrobank Foundation Board Member Aniceto Sobrepeña, and Federal Land President Jose Mari Banzon.
Federal Land's first development in Pasig, The Grand Midori Ortigas, was envisioned as a modern Zen-inspired sanctuary along Exchange Road in Ortigas Center, offering a calm and balanced retreat after a long day. Designed by Tokyo-based Tange Associates—the acclaimed firm behind the Yoyogi Gymnasium and Tokyo Aquatics Center—the two-tower development draws from the principles of wabi-sabi and miyabi, embracing the beauty of imperfection and bringing timeless Japanese simplicity to city living through the use of natural materials.

Moral renewal
I have worn a soldier’s uniform and have commanded men in battle. But the greatest lesson I’ve learned is that the most difficult battles are not won with bullets, but with humility, understanding, and dialogue. The truest battlefield lies within. Recently, I was reminded of this when I was invited and spoke before the Oblates of Mary Immaculate (OMI) in Kidapawan City, joining them as a fellow traveler on the long road to peace.
