14 power plants poised to go live

The Independent Electricity Market Operator of the Philippines (IEMOP) announced that several new power plants, including both renewable and conventional energy facilities, are expected to come online in the second half of 2025.

IEMOP revealed in a media briefing that 14 power projects are slated for testing and commissioning in the remaining months of 2025, with the majority being solar facilities.

These projects include the 11-megawatt (MW) Capas bunker C-fired diesel plant, along with several solar projects: the 42.9 megawatt-peak (MWp) Bongabon solar plant, a 23.776 MWp Bongabon solar project, and the 36.6 MWp RASLAG IV solar project.
