PLAYERS ‘UNSETTLED’ BY RATCLIFFE REMARKS

Sir Jim Ratcliffe

United players have been left unsettled by Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s controversial remarks on immigration, in which he said the UK was being ‘colonised’.The United co-owner sparked outrage on Wednesday after criticising Britain's migration levels and making inaccurate statements about population figures.

The 73-year-old continues to face criticism despite issuing a halfhearted apology following pressure from Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Among those condemning the billionaire were Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham, multiple United supporters’ groups and anti-racism organisations.
