CITY lost midfielder Rodri to a hamstring injury in the first half of the 1-0 Premier League win over Brentford on Sunday evening.

- By ALEX JAMES @MENSports

The midfielder, feeling his way back to full form and fitness after a serious knee injury that ruled him out for most of last season, was replaced inside the first quarter.

But the 29-year-old provided a positive update after the game and with Rayan Cherki back on the bench at Brentford after his own injury absence and three more stars due back over the international break, there is more positive picture at the Etihad. Here's the injury latest.

RODRI

Injury: Hamstring

The midfielder started at Brentford but was forced off inside 20 minutes with a hamstring injury. He will miss Spain's upcoming matches but spoke positively after the game.
