It's a massive privilege to be in Corriedale!

CORONATION Street star Vicky Myers has declared it an 'honour' as she has been sworn to secrecy on her upcoming role in the long running show's crossover with Emmerdale.

The actress, who plays DS Lisa Swain in the ITV soap, was one of the first stars announced for the special episode, named Corriedale, alongside Emmerdale star Danny Miller, who plays Aaron Dingle.

The hour-long special will air on January 5 at 8pm on ITV and ITVX to launch of the network's new 'soap power hour' scheduling pattern for the two shows, which will air in half hour instalments every week night. It was previously revealed that a catastrophic multi-vehicle pileup would be at the centre of the drama, leaving the lives of those from the cobbles and the Dales at risk.
