Horror as car is 'driven at pedestrians'

VIDEO footage has captured the moment a car appeared to have been driven at pedestrians in Manchester city centre during the early hours of yesterday.

The clips, shared widely on social media, showed what appeared to be a silver grey BMW estate driving erratically on Deansgate, at around 5am.

Despite the time, the area was still busy with people following festive nights out.

A 25-year-old man was treated in hospital following the incident.

He is thought to have been injured after being hit by a car.

Police said no arrests had so far been made in connection with the incident.
