HOW TO MAKE... A MAXI DRESS

SKIRT - CUT TWO

Step one Measure from your waistline to 10cm above the knee. Add 4cm (eg. 46+4 = 50). Mark this length vertically on the fold.

Step two Measure your widest point (eg hips). Add 9cm then divide total by 4 (eg. hips 95+9 / 4 = 26). Mark this length horizontally at right angles to the top of the vertical line. This will be the waistline.

Step three Add 20 per cent to step two's measurement (eg. 26 + 5.2 = 31.2). At right angles to the bottom of the vertical line, mark this length horizontally to the right. Connect the end point of this line with the end point of the waistline. 1
