NEW MARKET OFFERS RANGE OF FRESH PRODUCE

- By ADAM MAIDMENT

A NEW farmers' market will launch in the city centre later this year from a former director of a top Greater Manchester restaurant.

Yan Tan Tethera is the brainchild of Kat Wood, who has formerly worked as a creative director for popular Stockport venue Where The Light Gets In. She has also served as a director for the borough's urban garden The Landing. Kat has now curated a new monthly market alongside Manchester Urban Diggers which will feature a focus on seasonal and sustainable food, with farmers and local produce brands on hand to sell their celebrated goods.

The market will have a soft launch on Sunday, November 30, before launching monthly at Track Brewery, near Depot Mayfield, in January. It will then be held on the last Sunday of each month.
