City set for Divine intervention

PEP Guardiola named the same starting XI for the third game in a row for Manchester City’s game at Arsenal.

- By ALEX JAMES

It’s a rare occurrence and it was even more surprising to see the consistency in selection for three games in eight days of the intensity of a Manchester derby, a Champions League tie with Serie A title holders Napoli, and the game with the Gunners. It was hard to argue with the selection decisions given City cantered to victory over United and Napoli and earned a point at the Emirates that they would likely have taken before kick off.

But changes will surely now come against Huddersfield as the Blues begin their Carabao Cup campaign tonight.
