£17m scheme to transform town takes step forward

CONSULTATION EXERCISE WITH PUBLIC WILL BEGIN NEXT WEEK
THE £17m redevelopment plan for Denton is to start taking shape.
Public spaces around the town centre and Victoria Park could benefit from significant improvements, including improved pedestrian and cycling routes, and cycle parking.
The plans will use a ring-fenced pot of £16.7m in Levelling Up Funding granted to help transform the town.
Just under £3m has already been earmarked for the Festival Hall regeneration alongside repairs to the town hall.
