AWAY at Middlewich, Macclesfield Thirds were asked to field first as the home side won the toss.
While opening bat Okmar Singh started well, a great bowling spell by skipper Mudasser Panchbhaya resulted in early breakthroughs at the other end.
He bowled Prime, Marsden and Anderson-Dry to leave Middlewich on 46-3. Macc's other opening bowler, Suneesh Muraleedharan then struck, bowling Davies with only a single scored to add to the home team’s problems.
The introduction of Tony Moores produced two wickets as Middlewich attempted to build a competitive score but at 86-6, Macc were on top.
