|May 14, 2025
MACCLESFIELD Fifths won the toss and batted first against Haslington.
The team had to recover from the early loss of Dylan Howell and skipper Ayan Ghosh which left them at 27-2.
A stand of 55 between Alfie Hughes and Zak Penney got the innings back on track before Hughes was trapped lbw for 33.
Praveen Ganesan hit a rapid 13 from 8 balls before debutant Ewan Allabush joined Penney.
The pair added 63 with Penney reaching his 50 in the process, an innings with eight 4s and one 6.
When Penney was caught, Aneesh Raveendran Prabhavathy joined Allabush and the pair put on a huge stand of 137 at a very fast rate.
Early in the partnership Allabush reached his 50 in just 31 balls before adding another 50 in even quicker time.
His final score of 103 came from just 56 balls almost entirely in boundaries as he hit twenty 4s and two 6s.
