Care home planned for former mill site

A LARGE 74-bed care home looks set to be given the go-ahead - and provide a funding boost for GP surgeries.
Torsion Care has submitted a planning application to build the three-storey home at the vacant Towers and Progress Mill, on Parsonage Street, Macclesfield.
It predicts that 50 full-time jobs and 25 part-time jobs will be created.
‘The home would provide residential care for older people as well as specialist dementia patient care.
As part of consultation four residents have expressed support, describing the proposals as a good use of a brown-field site to provide a much-needed facility.
