Neighbourhood in shock after boy, 11, died in devastating bus smash tragedy
A RESIDENT who witnessed the aftermath of a horrific bus crash has described hearing the 'awful' screams of the mum of the little boy who died.
The 11-year-old - who had not yet been named early last night - was killed after being knocked down by the bus on Vernon Street on Friday afternoon. He was riding his bike at the time, Greater Manchester Police said.
Yesterday, police said no arrests had been made. The bus driver was 'assisting officers with enquiries!
Following the incident, residents told the M.E.N. how the local community were left shocked and over devastated the boy's death.
