Police still probing report of gunshots

POLICE officers continued making door-to-door enquiries on a quiet culde-sac yesterday after reports of gunshots being fired Officers from Greater Manchester Police were called to Ermington Drive in Cheetham Hill on Friday afternoon.
Specialist officers were at the scene carrying out searches of the area, near to the border with Salford.
Yesterday, an operational support van remained at the scene as detectives spoke to residents about the incident.
No one has been hurt, the force said, and no arrests have yet been made, as detectives are following several lines of enquiry to understand the circumstances of the reported incident.
