Police given more time to question four arrested

POLICE have been granted warrants of further detention to continue to question two men and two women arrested in connection with the synagogue terrorist attack.

In a new statement issued yesterday, Greater Manchester Police said it means the four can remain in police custody for up to a further five days.
Three of the four were arrested in Prestwich, Bury, on the day of the attack on Thursday. The fourth was held in Farnworth, Bolton, on Friday night.
Two others held, meanwhile, a woman and a man, remained in police custody for questioning on Saturday, GMP added.
