Mum's mission to make home better for brave Molly

Fundraiser launched to adapt family's house

A MUM is fundraising to extend her home to make life easier for her disabled daughter.

Adele Ingham's daughter Molly Rainbird was diagnosed with Battens disease four years ago at the age of just 10.

The extremely rare neurological condition affects between 25 to 40 children in the UK and there is no cure. And the effects have been devastating.

It has so far caused Molly to lose her mobility and her eyesight. She is also non-verbal, is fed through a tube and requires round-the-clock care. She also suffers 'significant' seizures on a weekly basis.

It is now a daily struggle for Molly's mum Adele Ingham to care for her at their small two-up, two-down housing association house in Stalybridge.
