Brave Paul given 12 months to live

HEADACHES DIAGNOSED AS AGGRESSIVE BRAIN TUMOUR

WHEN Paul Skundric started experiencing headaches and weakness on his left side, he didn't think much of it.

The 48-year-old initially thought he might have just been experiencing side effects from his arthritis medication.

But his loved ones knew some-thing was wrong when Paul began struggling to drive and even get him-self dressed. Paul, from Bury, was rushed to A&E with the belief he might have been suffering a stroke.

The support worker was immedi-ately referred for an emergency MRI scan where his worst nightmare was confirmed.

Doctors had found a mass on his brain, with further testing revealing it was a grade 4 astrocytoma - an aggressive and incurable brain tumour that was growing at a terrify-ing rate. Tragically, Paul has now been given a life expectancy of just 12 to 18 months.

As he undergoes gruelling treat-ment, his partner Jessica Lewin, 32, is desperately trying to come to terms with the devastating news.
