LOUGHBOROUGH Lightning are just two points behind Netball Super League leaders London Pulse after beating Manchester Thunder 65-53 in a repeat of last year’s Grand Final.

The defending champions received a double boost when Pulse suffered a shock first defeat of the season at newcomers Nottingham Forest.
Despite Thunder making a strong start and taking an early lead, Lightning weathered the storm and gradually found their rhythm at Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham.
