Loughborough Town net narrow six run win

IN one of the best Premier League games of the season so far Loughborough Town's 1st XI beat Newtown Linford CC by just six runs.

With the Town missing three of their top four batsmen it was left to Bradley Goodsell, with a solid 80, to provide the foundation of their innings that enabled Captain for the day, James O'Kelly, with an explosive 55 off just 47 balls, that meant Town posed 247-7 off their 50 overs.
In reply Bradley Goodsell picked up the vital wicket of Newtown's Captain, Sam Bates, before the leg breaks of William Stewart picked up the next two wickets and destroyed Newtown's top order.
