LIKE all clubs in Leicestershire, Loughborough Town CC had to cope with not only rain showers but also the vagaries of Duckworth-Lewis as a result.

Against Leicester Ivanhoe CC the 1st XI watched Sam Evans complete a magnificent century as Ivanhoe posted 222-5 off their 50 overs. With rain forecast the challenge of keeping ahead of the Duckworth-Lewis target proved surprisingly difficult and when the thunder came followed by rain they found themselves 15 runs short of the target with 61-2 off 21overs when the game was ended giving Ivanhoe a 15 run victory..
