Texas quarterback Arch Manning returned from a concussion a week earlier to pass for 328 yards and three touchdowns, including a 75-yard connection with Ryan Wingo on the first play, to lead the No. 20 Longhorns over No. 9 Vanderbilt 34-31 on Saturday in Austin.

Texas (7-2, 4-4 SEC) led 34-10 in the fourth quarter before Vanderbilt (7-2, 3-2) staged a desperate rally behind quarterback Diego Pavia’s touchdown run, 67-yard scoring pass to Eli Stowers and a final touchdown toss to Richie Hoskins with 33 seconds left.

The Vanderbilt rally ended when the Commodores’ onside kick bounced through several players and rolled out of bounds.

at No. 1 Ohio State 38, Penn State 14: Julian Sayin completed 20 of 23 passes for 316 yards and four touchdowns for the Buckeyes (8-0, 5-0 Big Ten), who pulled away from the Nittany Lions (3-5, 0-5) in the second half. Sayin joined Geno Smith (West Virginia, 2012) as the only Football Bowl Subdivision players since 1985 to have three games ina season with at least 300 yards passing, three touchdowns, no interceptions and a completion rate of at least 85%.
