GILL, 56, 'STABLE' AFTER SURGERY IN HOLIDAY ORDEAL
Liverpool Sunday Echo
|August 31, 2025
A GRANDMOTHER who was struck down with serious illness while on holiday in Turkey has “made it through surgery” for a brain tumour.
Gill Taylor-Scarth, from Formby, flew to Hisaronu, Turkey, on August 15 for a “big family holiday,” which her husband Kevin Scarth had booked before he died in December.
Kevin, 65, had booked the two-week trip to Hisaronu in Turkey for his wife, children, grandchildren and his brothers and sisters-in-law as something to look forward to, but tragically died before he could enjoy it with them.
A month after her husband's death Gill, 56, found out she had cancer.
Just a few days into the trip Gill became “off balance” and would take herself for “afternoon naps and was drinking lots of water,” her daughter Sophie Taylor previously told the ECHO.
