Anger over unemptied bins and fly-tippers

ANGRY residents in one part of Merseyside say issues with overflowing bins and fly-tipping are continuing to blight their community.

A bin at the top Kirkstone Road Park in Litherland was photographed with bags of dog waste, fast food boxes and tin cans spilling out onto the pathways.

The issue of fly-tipping and rubbish has been an ongoing issue in south Sefton, particularly in recent months. The ECHO has published numerous reports detailing the problems in and around Bootle.

In an attempt to better understand the scale of the problem in south Sefton, the ECHO accepted an invitation from the hard-working street cleansing team at Sefton Council and accompanied them on their daily round.
