TRANMERE recovered from an early setback to win at Barrow in the EFL Trophy thanks to a Charlie Whitaker double.
The hosts took an early lead through Elliot Newby thanks to an assist from Tyler Walker.
But Rovers drew themselves level midway through the first half when Whitaker headed home for his first of the evening with Cameron Norman setting him up.
