Tributes to 'gregarious, kind' former ECHO writer

SPORTS JOURNALIST FOUND NOVEL ON HIS LAPTOP AFTER BEING IN COMA
A DEVOTED dad and former ECHO sports journalist who became an adopted Scouser has died.
Ian Ross, 70, worked for the Liverpool Daily Post and ECHO, The Times, The Guardian and the Daily Telegraph as a sports writer.
Ian, affectionately known to most as Rossie, later spent 10 years as a director of communications at Everton FC. He was also an author, writing three sports nonfiction books before publishing a novel about time travel in 2021.
