Residents 'appalled' at post office closures

12 BRANCHES HAVE NOW CLOSED ACROSS THE CITY WITH NO WARNING
TWELVE Post Offices are still closed across Liverpool after the shutters were pulled down without warning five days ago.
Post Office Ltd is yet to elaborate on the "operational reasons" it says are the reason for the closures.
The Department for Business and Trade, the government department that oversees the publicly-owned Post Office Ltd, declined to comment on the matter. Notes have been left on the shutters of several Post Offices across the city.
A notice left on the shutters of Childwall Post Office on Dunbabin Road reads: "Closed until further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience."
