Costs rose for hosting new boxing event... but it could bring millions in to city's economy
COSTS for hosting a new international boxing event in Liverpool have been revealed - and it could bring £8.3m into the city.
The M&S Bank Arena staged 10 days of elite bouts culminating in the finals on September 14 as hundreds of athletes from across the globe competed in the first series of elite fights set up by the new World Boxing federation.
More than 1,000 fighters were based across six of the city's hotels , the cost of which has now been revealed.
