On the Ball for title defence

BOXING Nick Ball will make the fourth defence of his WBA featherweight title against Brandon Figueroa in February.

Ball will put his WBA crown on the line against mandatory challenger Figueroa on Saturday, February 7, at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool.

The Everton Red Triangle fighter’s most recent bout was a unanimous points win over Sam Goodman in Saudi Arabia back in August.

After 12 rounds of boxing, the three judges sitting at ringside scored the contest 118-110, 117-111 and 115-113, all in favour of the 28-year-old.
