McGrail world hopes hit by Masoud loss

PETER McGrail's hopes of landing a world title shot suffered a huge setback after he was beaten by Shabaz Masoud in Monaco on Saturday night.
McGrail and Masoud topped the blockbuster bill in Monte Carlo as they collided in the main event for the EBU European super-bantamweight championship.
The pair were due to meet earlier this year, but the fight was postponed after Masoud picked up an injury in training.
And it was Masoud and McGrail after their fight McGrail who started the stronger, with the Everton Red Triangle fighter looking to dictate the pace and the action.
