Liverpool Echo
|January 07, 2026
POLICE are hunting for a masked gang after a raid at a convenience shop.
Merseyside Police were called to North Hill Food and Wine on North Hill Street in Toxteth at around 10.40am yesterday.
It followed a report of a robbery during which four men in a silver Vivaro van stole several cash boxes from a cash-in-transit guard at the shop. Officers later found the cash boxes and the van involved in the robbery on Back Kelvin Grove.
The offenders are described as being of large build and all wearing face coverings. One of the men was wearing two-tone combat style workman trousers, light blue trainers and dark jacket.
A second man was wearing a dark coloured coat with the hood up, dark bottoms and dark trainers with a white sole, and a third was wearing a khaki coat, light col-oured bottoms tucked into black socks, and dark trainers.
Merseyside Police said a fourth man remained in the van. Police officers placed a cordon outside the shop as officers began the investigation.
