Man denies murdering shopkeeper

A MAN accused of stabbing a woman to death at an off-licence has pleaded not guilty to murder.
Nimalarajah Mathiyadaranam, 47, is charged with the murder of 44-year-old Nilani Nimalarajah.
Ms Nimalarajah died of her injuries shortly after being rushed to hospital on Friday, June 20 this year.
The incident took place shortly after 5.05pm. Merseyside Police were called to the Low Cost Food and Wine shop on Stanley Road, Bootle, where mum-of-three Ms Nimalarajah was found with fatal stab wounds to the chest.
