Gomez, Gakpo and Dom may be back

LIVERPOOL maintained their improvement in results when they held off the threat of rock-bottom Wolves with a 2-1 victory at Anfield on Saturday.

The Reds have now moved back into the top four on the strength of a six-game unbeaten run in the top flight - matching their longest such sequence since April.

Arne Slot's side will look to build on that victory when they continue their hectic festive Premier League schedule with a home clash against Leeds United on New Year's Day.

And here we look ahead to the changes Reds head coach Slot could make when his team are next in action.

Gomez return?

Having been down to almost the bare bones in terms of squad options over the past week, the return of several players has given Slot a few more options.

Not least in defence, where centre-back Giovanni Leoni, who is out for the season after ACL surgery in September, is the only expected absentee.
