Fresh appeal in search for hit-run driver

A NEW appeal has been launched to find the hit-run driver who left a boy with such severe injuries he had to have his leg amputated.

Cyclist Zach Michaels was seriously injured when he was hit head-on by a stolen car on Bracknell Avenue, near Kirkby High School December 22 last year.

Zack, then 15, was left with catastrophic injuries and had to have his leg amputated.

The dark silver Honda Civic, which displayed the stolen registration OV70 OWG, did not stop f and was driven off in the general direction of Bewley Drive and then towards Valley Road.

The car had been stolen during a burglary at a Wigan car dealership weeks earlier.
