Do you WANT it to be hostile for Trent?...
Liverpool Echo
|November 04, 2025
VIRGIL VAN DIJK refused to be drawn on what type of Anfield atmosphere should await Trent Alexander-Arnold when Real Madrid travel to Liverpool tonight.
And the Reds skipper also revealed he has barely spoken to his former deputy since his £10m move to the Spanish capital at the start of June.
The West Derby-born defender is potentially in line for some backlash over the nature of his move to Madrid when he lines up for the La Liga leaders in the Champions League on Tuesday evening. It’s currently unclear if the former Liverpool vice-captain will start or be left in reserve on the bench by head coach Xabi Alonso.
